Arcade racing games have always been a favorite for mobile gamers, and the first quarter of 2021 was no exception. Sensor Tower's data gives us a glimpse into how the top five arcade racing apps fared in Europe during this period.
Starting with Shortcut Run by Voodoo, the app saw a decrease in weekly revenue from $1K in the last week of December to $611 in the final week of March. Downloads also dropped from 938K to 586K, and weekly active users saw a decline from 2.2M to 1.4M.
Zynga Inc.'s Gear Race 3D had negligible revenue figures throughout the quarter, with a spike to $77 in mid-March before falling back down. Downloads for the app decreased significantly from 893K at the start of the period to 110K by the end, and active users followed a similar trend, declining from 1.1M to around 245K.
Another Voodoo title, Wacky Run, showed a slight increase in revenue from $427 to $169 over the quarter. Its downloads decreased from 702K to 138K, while weekly active users dropped from 1.3M to 567K.

Lastly, Tricky Track 3D, also published by Voodoo, had no revenue to report until the end of January, which then peaked at $229 in early March and fell to $66 by the end of the month. The game's downloads saw a significant rise from just under 3K to over 109K in January, followed by a peak of 814K in mid-February, but then a decline to 39K by the end of March. Active users showed a similar pattern, with a considerable increase from 18K to over 1.3M in mid-February, before decreasing to 352K by the end of the quarter.
